Dream Big 🌀

Fural is an innovative Apple Watch app that motivates you to stay active and manage your wellness by linking your health metrics to the care of a virtual pet. By syncing with your iPhone and Apple Watch, Fural uses real-time health data like Heart Rate Variability (HRV) and sleep quality to influence the well-being of your chosen pet.

I had fun focusing on the visuals using MidJourney, an awesome generative AI tool for creating high-quality images, and brought them into Figma to build an interactive demo. It was my first time experimenting with MidJourney + Figma, so it’s more of a toy project—no user testing or iteration, just a random idea inspired by someone mentioning pain points. But honestly, I still love how it turned out!

An Intriguing Motivation

This project was inspired by my casual browsing while considering getting an Apple Watch. I came across an app called Grow: Health and Fitness Tracker—its design was super cute! However, I noticed some misaligned visuals, complaints about the pressure alert (which ironically made users feel more stressed), and the common issue of people losing motivation to work out even when they’re aware of their day-to-day health data.

What if users were accompanied by a virtual pet they adore? Could it provide a positive source of motivation and encouragement?
